Mariana
Vieira Dancer

Born in Portugal, Mariana Vieira received her professional dance education with EDD, Professional Division, in Porto, from where she graduated in Ballet, Contemporary Techniques, Repertoire and where she choreographed her first pieces. Selected for different editions of the program ‹Território›, she performed works by Alexander Ekman, Wayne Mc Gregor, Shahar Binyamini, Maurice Causey. In 2021, she was engaged as a trainee at the Hanover State Ballet under the artistic direction of Marco Goecke. This was followed by an internship at the PNSD Rosella Hightower in 22/23. She then danced for two years with the Compagnie Ballet Preljocaj (Angelin Preljocaj) and in 24/25 with the Nuremberg Ballet under ballet director Goyo Montero. She has performed works by Paul Lightfoot & Sol León, Marco Goecke, Goyo Montero, Rafael Bonachela, Stephanie Lake and others. From summer 2025, she will be engaged as a guest dancer at the Basel Ballet under Marco Goecke.
