Lucy Wirth, born in Zurich in 1984 as the daughter of an American dancer and a Swiss lawyer, currently lives in Munich. After studying acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule, she worked in various permanent roles from 2007 to 2014, including at the Residenztheater Munich and the Schaubühne Berlin. This was followed by her first steps in the independent theater scene and guest engagements at various theaters. She has also been developing her own theater projects as an actor and director since 2019. A recurring theme is the investigation of improvisation and unpredictability: what is the lowest denominator of agreement necessary to create theatrical repeatability? In 2022, she brought Sheila Heti's novel ‹MOTHERHOOD› to the stage at the Pathos Theater Munich and in 2024 the play development ‹Penis – eine Umarmung› at Munich's Theater HochX. Lucy Wirth can be seen at Theater Basel in the 24/25 season in the drama production ‹Was ist das Kind so schön› in cooperation with the Kunstmuseum Basel.
