Schädler Actress

In her dance and theatre work, Lia Schädler (she/they) celebrates the act of coming together, on the one hand in terms of joint creative work and on the other in the encounter with the audience. She graduated with a Bachelor in Physical Theatre from the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in 2018 and continued her training at Arthaus Berlin in 20/21. With Luana Volet, as part of the Comganie Théâtre de l'extrême, dey created the project ‹douceur de la ville – Ein zarter Spaziergang auf Beton› in 2021. The piece last toured Switzerland as part of Reso-Dance on Tour during Tanzfest 2024. In 2023, she received the PREMIO Young Talent Award for Performing Arts for the creation of her first piece ‹Why don’t you sleep at night?›, which premiered at the Roxy Birsfelden theatre in March 2024. Her practice is collective, feminist and humorous. Lia Schädler is part of the Basel-based collective Landholz Productions. She has been performing in their latest creation, the classroom piece ‹democracy›, since September 2025. Dey is currently working on the project ‹mal digéré.e.x  –  Der Darm und die Verdauung in wissenschaftlicher und künstlerischer Erkundung›. Lia Schädler is part of the queer-feminist collective femtak and acts as an outside eye in their productions and choreographies. She already appeared on the stage of Theater Basel in 20/21 as a performer in ‹Die Zauberflöte› and is returning to the theatre in the same role for the 25/26 season.
