Swedish soprano Johanna Wallroth completed her vocal studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna after training in ballet. She made her operatic debut in 2013 as Barbarina in ‹Le nozze di Figaro› at the Ulriksdal Palace Theatre in Stockholm. Her previous highlights include debuts at the Vienna State Opera, Zurich Opera House and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. She has performed in renowned concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, the Vienna Musikverein and the Philharmonie de Paris. After her acclaimed debut as Zerlina in Mozart's ‹Don Giovanni› with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Daniel Harding, she was appointed Artist in Residence by Swedish Radio for the 22/23 and 23/24 seasons. She recently appeared in concert with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Saariaho's ‹Cinq reflets de l’amour de loin› and sang the world premiere of Daniel Nelson's ‹I am monster› with the Swedish Chamber Orchestra. She is currently singing Susanna in a new production of ‹Le nozze di Figaro› at the Royal Swedish Opera, returns to the Drottningholms Slottsteater as Eurydice in Telemann's ‹Orpheus›, appears with Daniel Harding and the Academia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Schumann's ‹Faustszenen› and interprets Berlioz's ‹Les nuits d’été› with Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider and the Orchestre national de Lyon. In the 25/26 season, she will take on the role of Pamina in ‹Die Zauberflöte› at Theater Basel.
