Javier Ara Sauco began his music studies in his hometown of Huesca, Spain, before transitioning to dance at the Superior Conservatory of Dance María de Ávila in Madrid. In 2015, he joined IT Dansa, a young company in Barcelona, under the artistic direction of Catherine Allard. From 2018 to 2021, he danced with the Hessisches Staatsballett under the direction of Tim Plegge and Bruno Heynderickx. After completing his advanced dance studies at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, Javier pursued a career as a freelance dancer. This encounter led to an ongoing collaboration with Teshigawara's company, KARAS, with Javier performing in various projects across Europe and Japan. In 2024, he also served as a choreographic assistant on the production ‹Verwandlung – Teshigawara› with Ballet Basel, under the direction of Adolphe Binder. In parallel with his dancing career, Javier Ara Sauco has developed his own choreographic work under the title ‹Recuerdo nº7›.
