Jan Rekeszus studied musical at Universität der Künste in Berlin.
He had previously gained stage experience at Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden: In ‹Hair› he played Claude and in ‹Bye, bye Birdie› Conrad Birdie. From March to April 2015, he played the title role in the German premiere of ‹Grimm› at Neuköllner Oper Berlin, and in June 2015, he was Gabe in ‹Next to Normal› at Renaissance-Theater. Jan performed the same play and role at Deutsches Theater in Munich in 2016. In the German premiere of ‹The Pirate Queen› in Nordhausen, he performed the roles of Donal and Tiernan and subsequently performed as Claude in the musical ‹Hair› at Theater Magdeburg, where he also assumed the roles of Lion/Zeke in ‹Der Zauberer von Oz› at the beginning of 2017. In the same year, he played the title role in the stage production of ‹Tschick› in Mayen and was the dentist in ‹Der kleine Horrorladen›. After appearing on stage in ‹Footlose› as Chuck and Cowboy Bob in Darmstadt, he returned to Theater Magdeburg, this time as Seymour in ‹Der kleine Horrorladen›. Audiences at Festspielhaus Füssen saw Jan as Count Dürckheim and King Ludwig in ‹Ludwig²› in 2018. In 2019 and 2020, he rejoined the production as King Ludwig, after appearing in Hildesheim as Tremolini in the operetta ‹Die Prinzessin von Trapezunt›, in Magdeburg as Perchik in ‹Anatevka› and in Bonn as Tony in ‹West Side Story›. Jan appeared at Staatstheater Saarbrücken as Berger in ‹Hair› in 2020. In 2022, he played Janczi in ‹Viktoria und ihr Husar› in Bremerhaven, Frank'n'Furter in ‹The Rocky Horror Show› at Landesbühne Sachsen and Dean Reed in ‹Iron Curtain Man› at Neuköllner Oper Berlin.
