Igor Mamlenkov, born in 1988 in the USSR, lives in Geneva and works as an actor, clown and director. After attending school in Denmark, he completed a degree in English linguistics at Bryansk State University and then moved to Barcelona, where he immersed himself in the world of physical theatre and clown art under masters such as Jango Edwards and Johnny Melville. In Barcelona, he performed in cabarets and wrote, directed and produced the award-winning short film cycle ‹Place›. He then completed a Master's in Physical Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri (2016-2018). With the premiere of his first dramatic clown play ‹Domovoi› (Master's project), he founded the Domovoi Theatre Company, which has since toured Europe, Russia and Africa. In 2025, Igor performed his production ‹Kto tam?› at the Théâtre la Luna during the Festival Off Avignon. As a stage artist, he performed as a green clown in Slava's Snow Show, played the lead role in Radio Frankenstein (Cie Markus Zohner) and worked under the direction of Anton Adasinskiy (Derevo Theatre) in the productions ‹Schmetterlingseffekt›, ‹Hiob› and ‹Bardak› (cie Domovoi). He also works as a puppeteer in Sleeping Beauty ‹L’air du temps› and appeared in ‹Bros› and ‹Bérénice› by Romeo Castellucci (LAC Lugano, Comédie de Genève). His most recent film productions include ‹Foodie Love› (HBO), ‹Cellule de Crise› (RTS) and ‹Un Año, Una Noche› (Berlinale 2022). He can be seen at the Theater Basel in ‹Die Zauberflöte›.
