Giovanna
Doria Dancer

Giovanna Doria was born in Congo and raised in Milano, Italy, where she received her first dance lessons. At the age of 16, she moved to Switzerland to complete her professional training at the Ballettschule Theater Basel. After graduating in 2020, Giovanna is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance at the Zurich University of Arts. For her last year at the university, she is joining Ballet Theater Basel as an intern for the season 2022/23. Throughout her education and dance career, she has danced in works by Nadav Zelner, Bryan Arias, Dunja Jocic, Joost Vrouenraets, Craig Davidson, Muhammed Kaltuk, among others.
