Geraldine
Geraldine Arnold studied art history in Cologne and costume design with Dirk von Bodisco and Reinhart von der Thannen in Hamburg. Since then she has worked as a freelance costume designer for theatre, opera, film and media. Her work has taken her to the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Theater Oberhausen, Theater Heidelberg, Staatstheater Mainz, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Köln, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Staatstheater Kassel, Theater Augsburg, Luzerner Theater and the Staatsoper Hannover. She was nominated as Costume Designer of the Year 2009 in the Opernwelt critics' poll for her costumes for 'Eugen Onegin'. She has worked closely with Benedikt von Peter on productions including 'Intolleranza 1960', 'La traviata' and 'Don Giovanni', all at the Hanover State Opera. For director Lilja Rupprecht, she created stage and costumes for productions including 'Iwanow' at the theatre in Lübeck and 'Werther' at the Hanover State Theatre.
