Floris Puts, from the Netherlands, received his first dance lessons in his hometown of The Hague. After being cast in the popular musical ‹Billy Elliot› in 2015, in which he performed between 2015 and 2017, he decided to continue his professional dance training at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in dance in 2024. In 2020, he received the Cultuurfonds Scholarship, among others, and rounded off his training with various Summer Intensives. In the 23/24 season, he was an élève at Introdans under the direction of Roel Voorintholt and joined the Staatsballett Hannover (Christian Bossfeld) as a permanent ensemble member in 24/25. He danced in repertoire works and creations by choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Edward Clug, Mauro Bigonzetti, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Ohad Naharin, Nils Christe, Jerouen Verbruggen and Liliana Barros. Since the 25/26 season, Floris Puts has been a permanent member of the Ballet Basel under the artistic direction of Marco Goecke.
