Boch Dramaturgy

Elise Boch was born in Burgundy. While studying theatre studies and sociology at the University of Paris-Nanterre, she co-founded the collective No Panic, which is dedicated to collective writing processes as well as practical theatre experiences outside of classical stage spaces. At the same time, she continued her training in acting and contemporary dance at the conservatories of the 9th arrondissement of Paris and in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis). In 2013, she was accepted into the directing department of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre in Lyon. After graduating, she co-founded the company Alors qui? Alors quoi?, which is dedicated to musical theatre, in particular the adaptation and staging of novels. She also works regularly as an assistant director for opera productions in France (Opéra de Lyon), Germany (Ruhrtriennale), Belgium (Opera Ballet Vlaanderen) and Switzerland, for example at the Grand Théâtre de Genève in the 21/22 season. She has been working as a dramaturg at Theater Basel since the 24/25 season.
