Guieb Dancer

Christina Guieb was born in New Zealand and completed her dance training at the New Zealand School of Dance. She began her career with the New Zealand Dance Company, where she was seen in creations such as Michael Parmenter's ‹OrphEus - A Dance Opera›, Stephanie Lake's ‹If Ever Was Now› and Ross McCormack's ‹Matter› (2018) and ‹Artefact› (2021). In 2019 she danced in McCormack's ‹As It Stands› for Muscle Mouth and in the same year she was involved in Antony Hamilton's performance ‹Token Armies› for Chunky Move. She performed in Damien Jalet's short film ‹Anima› and in ‹Planet [wanderer]› by Jalet and Kohei Nawa, produced by the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris. She also danced in ‹DuEls›F by Jalet and Erna Ómarsdóttir for Nagelhus Schia Productions in 2020. In 2022 she performed with the Eastman Company in the piece ‹S3› choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. She has been part of the company of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen since the 22/23 season and is dancing in ‹Dido und Aeneas› at Theater Basel in the 24/25 season.
