Angela Braun studied opera singing with Julia Varady and Christine Schäfer at the HfM «Hanns Eisler» in Berlin. In her search for a cross-genre performance and theater language, she has since created a wide range of works between classical music theater, performance and drama, which have taken her to the Bavarian State Opera, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Nationaltheater Weimar, the Wuppertal Opera, the Saarland State Theater, the Hanover State Theater, the Théatre de l'Athénée Paris and the Bremen Theater, among others. Since 2015, she has enjoyed a close artistic collaboration with the Berlin music theater collective Hauen und Stechen. ‹Wie geht's, wie steht's› is her first guest appearance in Basel.
