Performer
Anaïs Lhérieau is of French origin and grew up in Neuchâtel. Her passion for the arts led her to study piano at the Neuchâtel Conservatory, musical theatre at the Evaprod School and theatre at the Théâtre populaire romand. In 2023, she completed her studies at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri with a diploma in physical theatre. A versatile and multilingual artist, she has since collaborated with several Swiss companies, including Cie en Boîte (including ‹Adrienne›, a solo performance), Corpi Narranti and Utopik Family. She is currently on tour with an adaptation of Molière's ‹Les Précieuses ridicules› and is also performing with Cie Après-Soleil in the show ‹Sans nouvelles, bonnes nouvelles?›, which was created to mark the 125th anniversary of the Lycée Blaise-Cendrars in La Chaux-de-Fonds. She practices various disciplines - text and mask theatre, movement, short films, voice-overs and performance - and her personal work also deals with relationship dynamics and absurd humour. Driven by her love of challenges, she enjoys projects that allow her to learn new disciplines. She is committed to social causes and is also involved in awareness-raising projects as part of Forum Theatre, particularly on the subject of bullying in schools. In ‹Die Zauberflöte›, she is performing on stage at Theater Basel for the first time.
