Labara Dancer

Aleix Labara Cerver is Spanish, he grew up in a little village in Catalunya, Sant Hilari Sacalm. He received his dance training in Escola de dansa d’Arbúcies, Escola de dansa Marta Bustamante/Jove Ballet de Catalunya in Mataró, and from 2016 to 2018 he trained at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de danza Mariemma in Madrid, where he received his professional classical dance qualification and the outstanding achievement award. The same year he graduated, he became an apprentice with the young company IT Dansa in Barcelona. From 2018 to 2021 he was a full member of the company. In his career, he has danced works by Akram Khan, Ohad Naharin, Alexander Ekman, Sidi Larbi-Cherkaoui, Crystal Pite, Lorena Nogal, Rafael Bonachella, Javier Monzón, Ricardo Franco, among others. Aleix Labara Cerver joined Ballet Theater Basel in 2021.
