During an audition for two roles from Shakespeare's poem, the situation becomes blurred. It becomes increasingly unclear where the role ends and where the character begins, how a scene is played and what happens on stage and what happens backstage. Because the depiction of rape raises questions. What can be shown at all, where are the boundaries? Sexual violence is everywhere, and it is political. Countless stories of assault characterise our culture. Director Lola Arias based her play on research and conversations with victims of violence, actors, intimacy trainers and philosophers. How can we talk about sexual violence? And above all: how can it be stopped?
